VA Academy is a medical teaching academy in the 5th Settlement, Cairo. We started with a simple idea: the best way to prepare for the MRCS is to practise with the surgeons who examine it.
Our MRCS teaching is led by Royal College examiners and FRCS consultant surgeons, including Mr Sherreen Elhariri, Mr Mohamed Omar Elfarok and Mr Essam Elkady. Together they run our hands-on mock exams in Cairo (16 selected OSCE stations in real exam timing, with feedback from the examiners straight after), our online preparatory courses, and the one-to-one mock stations you can book on this site.
Beyond the MRCS, we run practical workshops for doctors who want new skills: CLaCS laser and EVLA courses for leg veins with Dr Mohamed Hagag, consultant vascular surgeon, and vascular duplex ultrasound training.
Many of our recorded lectures are free, because good preparation shouldn't depend on where you trained.
